Current Graduate Student and Assistant Complex Director at SUNY Buffalo State
Hi, I’m Angelina — An Aspiring Higher Education and Student Affairs Professional
Equity-focused student affairs professional with a passion for DEIB, fostering success, and operational functionality. Currently based in Buffalo, New York.

About Me
Born in Oregon and raised in Arizona, I have been passionate about bringing positive change to the world since I was young. From volunteering in grade school to becoming a resident assistant in my undergraduate studies to now striving to be a well-informed student affairs practitioner, one thing has always been clear: I work for and with the communities I serve.
As a Polynesian woman, the context of the world and surrounding history of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging has always been at the center of my work as a professional in the student affairs world.
Core Values
DEIB
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging are at the center of my work. Centering the voices of those who have been silenced, making space for identities that had it taken from them, and being conscious of the societal context which we exist within.
Authenticity
Real community is built on feeling comfortable enough to show your true self. Building mutual respect and trust between students and staff requires us as professionals to show up as our most authentic selves to make it the norm.
Transparency
Miscommunication and vague language can cause frustration to grow. To ensure that co-workers, students, parents, etc. feel like they are being supported, it is imperative to be transparent and demistify anything that may be a barrier for people.
